Rose Mary Trost

Rose Mary (Helget) Trost, age 91, passed away peacefully on January 27, 2023 at St. Therese Senior Living in Woodbury.

Rose Mary's greatest joy in life was her family. She was all about being around the people she loved. Calvin and Rose Mary got married on June 24, 1950, and ever since then from the time they woke up to the time they went to bed they did EVERYTHING together. She was a great cook and great baker making pies, decorating cakes, and making Calvin's favorite chocolate brownies and cookies. Her hobbies included watching birds, cutting the grass, raking hay, helping out on the farm in anyway she could, and enjoying her position of CFO of the farm.

She is survived by her children, James (Deedee) Trost, Linda Jacobson, Gwen (Don) Solberg; grandchildren, Darlene Zemke, Sherri Herman, Jaeson Trost, Crystal Trost, and Tanya Erhardt; great-grandchildren, Jasmine, Josephine, Maci, Grand, Gavin, Noah; and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Rose Mary is preceded in death by her soulmate and husband, Calvin; parents, Frank and Theresa (Anitzberger) Helget; and sisters and brother.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 A.M., February 14, 2023 at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, 2035 W 15th street, Hastings, MN, with a visitation one hour prior. A light social hour will follow the service with desserts and coffee at the church. Interment will be held at 1:15 P.M. at Cottage Grove Cemetery.
