Rose D. Cooper, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, sister and friend, was called home on February 7, 2021. Rose was born on November 15, 1938 in Momence, IL, to John and Lillian Bleyle. She married the love of her life Frank L. Cooper in Momence, IL, on February 23, 1957. They were blessed with three children, and were married for sixty-three years. She loved being a grandma, and all the kids loved her--including the neighborhood kids who also called her Grandma. Fishing with dad and the kids was one of her favorite things to do. She also liked cooking, camping, playing card games, and doing holiday crafts. She decorated her house and celebrated holidays--made soup for annual Halloween get-together; organized Christmas house decorating contest; and celebrated New Year's Eve. The kids loved spending time at Grandma's and she loved every minute. Her guiding principle was to teach them to be honest, trustworthy and to laugh. She also loved to sing along with old country music; knew all the artists, lyrics and meaning behind the songs. She treasured time with friends, particularly her Coffee Club that met two or three times per week at local restaurants for 20+ years. She had a bottomless coffee cup. People just naturally gravitated to her. She was caring, genuine, authentic and had a way of putting people at ease to chat and laugh--family and strangers alike. She was grateful for all she had. She accepted everyone as themselves; not to change, but believe in them for who they are. She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Gary; grandson, Kyle; brothers, John, Jacob, Andrew, Jim and Donald; sisters, Marilyn, Patricia, Betty and Mary Jane. Rose is survived by her husband, Frank; children, Bonnie (Mike) Snaza, Ann (Don) Mann, daughter-in-law, Kim (Blackstad) Cooper; grandchildren, Vicki (Efrain), Joe, Ben, Becca, Derek (Rhonda), Andy, Casey and Clint (Jordan); great-grandchildren, Lorenzo, Lavida, Julius, Dakotah, Gunner, Franklin, Madelyn and Miles; great-great-grandson, Spencer; brothers, Dan, Tom, Nick, Norman and Jerry; and sisters, Irene, Sandy and Joanie; many other relatives and friends too numerous to mention by name. Inside and out, she was a beautiful person. She was loved dearly and will be missed by all who were touched by her kind and uplifting spirit.
