Rosalie Clara (Tieman) Becker, age 83, passed away February 4, 2026.
Rosalie was born May 30, 1942, in St. Rosa, MN, to Rose (Arnzen) and Ralph Tieman.
Growing up in Melrose, MN, she was better known as “Fuzz” rather than Rosalie, due to her curly hair as a child. She will always be “Fuzz” to family and hometown friends. It was in Melrose that she fell in love with the neighbor boy, Ken. They were married on October 8, 1960, and recently celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary. As Ken likes to say, “I’ve known her for over 80 years, and been in love with her for more than 70.”
Together Rosalie and Ken raised four children and were blessed with six grandchildren. Rosalie was immensely proud of her family and grateful for each relationship. Her grandchildren were a special joy to her, always bringing a sparkle to her eyes when talking about them.
Rosalie was an avid reader. It was a rare occasion there was not a book in her hands, by her side, or lying on her chest after she fell asleep because she just couldn’t put the book down. She also enjoyed the years of bridge club, playing cards and board games with family, going for drives with Ken, and time they would spend at a lake cabin.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph and Rose Tieman.
Rosalie is survived by her husband, Kenneth; children, Patricia (Jeffrey) Rebarchik, Scott Becker, Sharon (Bill) Braun, and Michelle (Chris) Ritt; grandchildren, Paige (Gabe) Smith, Daniel Becker, William (Billy) Braun, David Braun, Alana (Eric) LaRoche, and Thomas Ritt; siblings, Shirley Roering, Ron (JoAnn) Tieman, and Gail (Ron) Schulte; as well as many in-laws, nieces, nephews, and extended family.
Per her wishes, the immediate family will hold a Celebration of Life at a later date.
Ken and family would like to extend heartfelt gratitude to the amazing staff at Hastings Senior Health and Living. The professional care and genuine compassion was a great comfort to us all. Thank you also to Grace Hospice for the guidance and care. We could not have fulfilled her wishes without these amazing teams at our side.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you please consider a donation to Hastings Family Service.
