Rosalia M. "Rose" Bauer

Rosalia M. "Rose" Bauer, age 96, of Hastings died Wednesday, April 13, 2016. Rosalia was born December 31, 1919 in Buckman, MN to Andrew and Anna (Trath) Gall. She married Walter M. Bauer on October 5, 1943 in Buckman. Rose farmed with her husband Walter for many years near Hastings. She was an avid gardener known for her beautiful flower beds. She loved quilting and was a dedicated volunteer in her church and the community. Rose was preceded in death by her parents, husband Walter and 14 siblings. Rose is survived by her children, David (Pat) Bauer of St. Charles, MN, Tom (Nancy) Bauer of Kansas City, KS, Tim (Li Lang) Bauer of Los Angeles, CA, Jane Worden of Tampa, FL, Dan (Sharon) Bauer of Brookfield, WI, Joel (Deb) Bauer of Hastings and Joan (Todd) Jagerson of Rosemount; also 11 grandchildren, many great grandchildren and her sister, Clara Collins of Torrance, CA. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11 a.m. Monday, April 18, 2016 at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 2035 Fifteenth Street West, Hastings with visitation held two hours prior to the service. Fr. T.J. McKenzie will officiate. Pallbearers will be Roses grandchildren. Interment will follow in the parish cemetery.
