Ronald E. Rimpila

Ronald E. Rimpila, age 61, of Hastings, died at his home on Sunday surrounded by his family. He was preceded in death by his brother Gary.He is survived by his wife Patti, by his sons Brian of Hastings, Travis of Hastings and Kelly (fiancee Terry Waltman) of Northfield, MN; by grandchildren Arianna, Stefan, Rocco, Jesse and Kaitlyn; by his parents Ben and Peg Rimpila of Hastings, a sister Gloria Springer of Fergus Falls, a brother Lucky (Connie) Rimpila of Northfield, a sister-in-law Helen Rimpila of Lonsdale, and by many nieces and nephews.A memorial gathering will be held Wednesday, February 18, 2009 from 4-7 pm at the Caturia-Smidt Funeral Home, 201 East Seventh Street in Hastings, MN. and also for 1 hour prior to the funeral on Thursday.The memorial service will be held at 11am Thursday, February 19, 2009 at Our Saviour's Ev. Lutheran Church, 400 W. Ninth St. in Hastings, MN. The honorary pallbearers are Mike Langenfeld, Jay Jannetto, James "Sliv" McGree, Roland Anderson, and Brian Dealy.Interment with military honors provided by the Hastings VFW Post #1210 will follow in Lakeside Cemetery in Hastings.
