Ronald C. Eggert

Ronald Craig Eggert, age 76 of Hastings died suddenly on Monday, June 17, 2013 in the presence of his wife at his cabin on Lake Vermilion.Ronald was born June 11, 1937 in Mason City, Iowa to Clifford and Catherine (Piersol) Eggert. He married Rosalie Lienweber on December 19, 1959 in Washington, Illinois and taught physics at Highland Park Senior High School from 1968-1977.He was a self-employed contractor in the construction industry prior to retirement. Ronald was a devoted husband, father and grandfather.Preceded in death by both of his parents,Ronald is survived by his wife Rosalie; two daughters Rebecca (Marc) Thoen of Dawson, MN and Roxanne (John) Cornell of Plymouth, MN; also six grandchildren Eva (Christopher) Stark, Anders, Jakob and Julia Cornell, and Christian and Lauren Thoen; one brother Dr. Delmer (Jodie) Eggert of Mankato, MN.The Memorial Service, officiated by Rev. Megan Torgersonwill be held 11 AM Saturday, June 22, 2013 at Augustana Lutheran Church, 1400 South Robert Street, West St. Paul. A memorial gathering will be held at the church one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, the family asks for memorials to be sent to Children's Cancer Research and the American Heart Association.
