Roland �Rollie� Pabst, age 77, died April 24, 2010 at his home in Hastings. Rollie was born September 16, 1932 in Stillwater to Albert and Irene (Johnson) Pabst. He married Marjorie Ruhr on February 15, 1958 at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Hastings. He will be remembered for his humor, wit, love of the farm, and woodworking. He was preceded in death by his parents. Rollie is survived by his wife of 52 years Marjorie; children Cindy (Pat) Teal, Sally (Mike) Benner, Joe (Debra) Pabst,Sharon (Chris) Van Dyke; grandchildren Randy (Charlene) Johnson, Bethany (Randy) Bagwill, Jeremy (Christine) Teal, Alyssa (Kurt) Kangas, Matt (Erin) Benner, Jill (John)Junker, Robbie (Anna) Benner, Sayer, Coleman, and CarterVan Dyke; great grandchildren Adam Teal, Scarlet Benner, and Baby Bagwill; siblings Marilyn (Bernard) Vanderpoel, Richard (Anna) Pabst; brother-in-law Gene (Lois) Ruhr; sisters-in-law Joan Steffenhagen and Mildred Ruhr; special friends Kathy and Jerry Benedix; also many other relatives and friends. The Funeral Mass, officiated by Fr. Allan Paul Eilen will be held at 11AM Thursday, April 29, 2010 at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 2035 Fifteenth Street West, Hastings. The visitation will be from 4-8PM Wednesday, April 28, 2010 at Caturia-Smidt Funeral Home, 201 E. Seventh St., Hastings, and one hour prior to the service at church. Pallbearers will be Joe Pabst, Randy Johnson, Matthew Benner, Robbie Benner, John Junker, Randy Bagwill, Jeremy Teal, and Kurt Kangas. Interment will be in the parish cemetery.
