69, of Minneapolis, born July 8, 1943, died at home on July 7, 2013. Rodger was preceded in death by parents, Arlie and Don Smith; father, Robert Erickson (LaVon); sister, Rolayne (Mike); and half-sister, Robyn. He is survived by his wife, Linda; children: Angel, Billy, Tammie, Jeffrey, Chad (Bon), Cari (Joe), Anji (Gary), and Lisa (Patrick); brother, Skeez (Ali), and sister, Wendy (Scott), half- brothers, Bob, and Randy (Luann); 17 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Rodger, aka “Elvis”, drove bus for Metro Transit for 22 years. He often entertained his riders by singing vintage rock ‘n roll songs. Husband, dad, grandpa, great-grandpa, brother, and uncle, his ever genuine big heart and helping hands will be forever loved and missed. Memorial Service, 1:00 pm, Tuesday, July 16, 2013 with visitation one hour before, at Henry W. Anderson Mortuary, 3640 23rd Ave So, Minneapolis.
