Bleckinger, Robert “Bob” Wayne 82, of Mpls., passed away peacefully with his family by his side, Dec. 18, 2007. Born in Mpls., MN. Served in the US Army during WWII. Bob was a successful business owner, having built and run Beauty Spot salons in Mpls. for 35 years. He enjoyed many longstanding relationships together with his wife, Luella, that were created through neighborhood groups, fraternal associations and golf club memberships. Bob was an avid golfer and loved hunting ducks, geese and pheasants. He was a tremendously hard worker and the eternal care- giver who loved nothing more than being at the center of family gatherings. His enthusiastic spirit will survive through his wife of 59 years, Luella; sister-in-law, Adeline Gibbons & husband, Jim; children, Val Bryan & husband, Steve, Bob & wife, Lynn, Kim Rauscher & husband, Tom; grandchildren, Jessie, John and Josh Bryan, Rob and Ali Bleckinger, Beth (Dougherty) & husband, Ben, Tom and Dan Rauscher; great-grandchildren, Jack and Kristen Dougherty; and many friends. Memorial Services will be held at 3:00 PM Wednesday, Dec. 26 at Henry W. Anderson Mortuary, 3640 23rd Ave. S., Mpls. There will be a gathering with family members 30 minutes prior to service. Private interment at Fort Snelling National Cemetery prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to Chapel View Care Center.
