Robert W. Liddle

Robert W. Liddle, age 74 of Lake Elmo, formerly of Hastings died on Friday, May 20, 2016. "Bobby", the son of Verne and Bernice (Sommers) Liddle, was born June 21, 1941 in Hastings, MN. He was a graduate of Hastings High School, class of 1960. Bob worked for the Waterous Company which produces fire protection equipment in St. Paul. He retired in 2006 after over 40 years of employment. Bob was a member of the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers Union, Lodge #459, District Lodge #77 Retirees. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting, fishing, gardening and was a member of the NRA. Bob was affectionately known as "G Pa" to many.He was preceded in death by both of his parents and also grand-parents, John and Elizabeth Newman. Bob is survived by his daughter, Elizabeth (Curtis) Studeman of Stillwater; grandson, Andrew (Jenna) Slama of Rice, MN; granddaughter, Alisyn Studeman; great-grandchildren, Landen Robert and Emmett MarshallSlama; brother, Duane Liddle; sisters, "Cookie" (Dennis) Rother and Valerie Robinson; also many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred. A Celebration of His Life will be held Saturday, August 27, 2016 from 2:00 to 6:00 P.M. at his daughter's residence, 205 Marsh Street East in Stillwater, MN 55082.
