Robert W. Endres

Robert "Bob" Endres, age 75 of Marco Island, Florida passed away Sunday, September 17, 2017 after a brief illness with his family at his side. Robert Wilfred was born July 4, 1942 to Ferdinand and Marie (Becker) Endres in Hastings, Minnesota. He graduated from Randolph High School in 1960. Bob married his life-long love, Diane Molitor on August 17, 1963 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Miesville, Minnesota. Bob started working at 3M in 1961 and continued his education, earning his degree from the U of M. He was awarded the Lewis W. Lehr Career Quality Achievement Award. In 1998, Bob retired and they moved to Marco Island. He loved to travel and spend time with his family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; children, Michelle, Craig and Peter; and by his siblings, Bernard, Wilfred, Sylvester, Eugene, Gilbert, Odelia Schiller and Dorothy Schiller. Bob is survived by his wife of 54 years, Diane; daughter Jennifer and daughter in law, Peggy; grandchildren, Vanessa (Tom) Mangatu, Brian Fortier, Elizabeth Fortier, Benjamin Weinhandl, Taylor Endres and Brenden Lehee; siblings, John (Marian), Paul (Sharon), Don (Joanne), Dave (Sarah) and Mary Jean Kasel; sister in law, Karleen Schlapkohl; also many nieces, nephews, other family members and friends. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 4, 2017 at St. Ambrose Catholic Church, 4125 Woodbury Drive in Woodbury, with Fr. Nick Froehle, Celebrant. Visitation will be held from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 3, at Caturia-Smidt Funeral Home Cremation Services of Hastings, and will continue for one hour prior to Mass at church on Wednesday morning. The burial will be private.
