Robert Meiers Jr.

Robert (Bobby) Meiers age 57 of Lakeville MN passed away at home on March 29,2026 after battling a courageous fight with cancer.

Bobby was born on Oct.10, 1968 in Hastings, MN son of Ingrid (Kitty) and the late Robert (Bob) Meiers Sr. His family moved in 1975 to Menomonee Falls, WI (suburb of Milwaukee).

Bobby was a lifelong bachelor and enjoyed his life to the fullest. He graduated from Menomonee Falls High School in 1987 where he played football as a Defensive End and FG Kicker earning all conference honors and an All State Title as a kicker. He went on to study at the University of MN and the University of WI-Milwaukee, and earned a specialized degree in commercial property assessment. Over the years, Bobby worked for various companies, including Lowes Corp. and recently United Natural Food Inc. (UNFI) as their Property Tax Manager. He was truly passionate about his job and enjoyed working with the many people he met. He was a great conversationalist and storyteller. Bobby had a passion for the great outdoors such as yearly fishing trips to Canada and deer hunting in the Midwest brought him lots of joy.

Bobby was a man of deep faith in God and was known for his generosity for the poor. Special thanks to all the Allina Hospice nurses who came to see him on a daily basis.

Bobby will be dearly missed by all.

He is preceded in death by his father Robert (Bob) Meiers Sr. and his grandparents John and Mary Meiers, Bruno and Ruth Kraemer and many aunts and uncles.

Bobby is survived by his mother Ingrid (Kitty) Meiers, brother Curt (Susan) and his sister Lisa. Cousins: Barbara, Bette, Mike, Karla, John, Kim, Kris, Andrea, Hans and Bob. Nieces and nephews: Nicholas, Summer, William and Jonny.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, April 17, 2026 at noon at Starkson Family Life Celebration Chapel with a visitation one hour prior. A reception will follow the celebration. Arrangements are with Starkson Family Life Celebration Chapel.
