Robert M. Hall

Robert M. Hall, age 88, of Hastings, died 10/08/08. He was born 12/14/19 at Bay City, MI to Merton and Hazel Carpenter Hall.Robert was a retired Senior Vice President and Treasurer of the Federal Land Bank of St. Paul. He was a graduate of Fairgrove, MI High School and Bay City, MI Business College. He was a veteran of WWII having served in North Africa, Sicily, and Italy. In 1946Robert married Cathryn Maxine Coulter at Auburn, MI. They were blessed with 3 children, Dr. Jeffrey, wife Joleen and son Jeffrey II; Alan and children Jason, Christopher and Madalyn; Julie Thornberg, husband Jon and children Katie and Jake. He is survived by his wife of 62 years; their children and grandchildren; a sister-in-law Mary Coulter; also 5 nieces and 2 nephews. His memberships included the United Methodist Church, Masonic Lodge, VFW, American Legion, and Hastings Country Club. The funeral service, officiated by Gordon Gathright and Rev. Michael Graham will be held at 11am Saturday, October 11, 2008at the UNITED METHODIST CHURCH, 615 W. 15th St. in Hastings with visitation after 9am AT THE CHURCH. Full Military Honors will be provided by the Hastings VFW Lyle Russell Post #1210 following the service. A private interment will be held at the Ft. Snelling National Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association or donor's choice.
