Robert Glyn Ballinger

Robert Glyn Ballinger, age 32, of Hastings, passed away September 27, 2019. He was born in Dallas, TX and started playing hockey with the Dallas JR. Stars. He moved to Hastings to continue his hockey career. Robert was signed by the Puget Sound Tomahawks before his Senior year of high school and completed four years with the Tomahawks wearing #27. He was very hard woking and passionate about his career but struggled with his health. Robert was preceded in death by his grandparents, Robert and Lottie Glyn. He is survived by his parents, Janene Glyn and Clyde Ballinger; sister, Jenna Ballinger; brother, Michael Ballinger; half brothers, Jeffrey and Ryan Ballinger; his hockey family, Mary and Pat Rowan and their sons, Matt and Dan. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, October 5, 2019 at 4:00 PM at Starkson Family Life Celebration Chapel, 3075 Vermillion St., Hastings. A gathering will be held one hour prior to the service.
