Robert F. Bathrick

Robert F. Bathrick, age 67, of Denmark Township, died Monday, April 18, 2016 at his residence following a battle with cancer. Robert was born March 23, 1949 in St. Paul to Donald and Sally (Fink) Bathrick. He was a 1967 graduate of Hastings High School and attended Dunwoody Institute in Minneapolis. Bob married Diane Bauer on August 12, 1972 in Hastings and was the former owner of Bathrick Appliance in Hastings, retiring in 2015. He was an avid outdoorsman and hunter. He was preceded in death by his parents and is survived by his wife, Diane; daughters, Holly (Erik) Ostertag of Hastings and Heidi (Erik) Swenson of Orono, MN; four grandchildren, Oliver Swenson, Lily Ostertag, Mason Ostertag and Elsa Swenson; sister, Nancy (Bruce) Berry of St. Paul; brother, Ron Bathrick of Hastings and other relatives and friends. The Memorial Service will be held 11 AM Friday, April 22, 2016 at Shepherd of the Valley Lutheran Church, 14107 Hudson Road South in Afton, MN, officiated by Rev. Steve Kramer. Visitation will be held from 5 8 PM Thursday at the Caturia-Smidt Funeral Home Cremation Services, 201 East Seventh Street, Hastings and one hour prior to the Friday service at church.
