Age 83 of Apple Valley, died on June 1, 2016 surrounded by loving family. Bob was proud to have served in the US Army and was a member of the American Legion. He graduated from the University of MN with a degree in Electrical Engineering. Bob was a longtime employee of 3M, retiring after 30 years. He enjoyed living in MN and Florida, and traveling often. Preceded in death by beloved wife, Kathleen Gail Carlton; parents; and brother, Sterling (Eileen). Survived by loving wife, Sharon; daughters, Jill Annette (Daryl) Moore, Robin Elizabeth (John Beesley) Carlton and Heidi Marie (John) Carlson; step-daughter, Renee (John) LeBlond; proud grandfather to Adam (Kate), Erica (Shane), Madison; step-grandchildren, John and Joseph; great-grandchildren, Scarlett, Olive, Aurora, Henry and Octavia; brother, Jim (Pat) Eckberg; and many other relatives and friends. Memorial Service 11AM, Tuesday, June 7 at First Presbyterian Church, 535 20th Ave. N., South St. Paul. Interment Ft. Snelling National Cemetery.
