Robert "Bob" L. Moore Jr.

Robert "Bob" Lee Moore, age 57, of Hastings, passed away suddenly on Friday, March 2, 2018, in Delaware, Ohio. He was born February 16, 1961, in Bismarck, North Dakota, to Robert and Natalie (Welch) Moore. Bob graduated from Hastings High School in 1979. His brother Tim introduced him to the love of his life, Jane Marie Woodford, and they were married on September 13, 1986, in Hastings. After graduating from high school, he trained and began his career as a Pipefitter. Proving himself to be a hardworking and committed employee, he worked his way up to Project Manager, and he remained dedicated to his work his whole life. Bob enjoyed the simple pleasures in life, like spending time with family, taking walks with his dog, flying planes, building and driving his racing rig, going to car shows, golfing, and fishing. Some of his favorite times were entertaining his family with homemade popcorn and a theater system he made himself, as well as several family trips up North and to Disney World. He was a devoted husband, father, brother, and uncle, who strove to bring joy to all those around him, and his faith in the Lord was unwavering. Left to honor Bob and remember his love are his beloved wife Jane, together for 36 years; his two wonderful children, Kelsey and Robert "Bobby"; his brother, Tim; two sisters, Deborah and Mary, and many nieces, nephews other relatives and friends. Bob was preceded in death by his parents, and sister-in-law Carla (Tim). Family, friends, and others whose lives Bob touched are invited to the funeral service at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 7, 2018, at Resurrection United Methodist Church in Hastings, with Gordon Gathright officiating. Visitation will be held at church from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Private family interment will be held at a later date.
