Robert Baxter

Robert “Bob” William Baxter, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend to many, passed away peacefully surrounded by family November 2, 2025. Born on May 15, 1952, in Ontario, Canada, to Rosanne Denhoed and William Baxter, Bob moved to Hastings, Minnesota in the fifth grade, where fate introduced him to the love of his life, Linda Pykoski. The two were married in 1974 and shared more than 50 years of marriage built on devotion and deep friendship.

Bob is survived by his wife, Linda; sons Brent, married to Megan, and Brad, married to Mackenzie, and four grandchildren Ellery, Lucy, Sawyer and Wyatt.

A professional truck driver for many years, Bob was known for his humor, kindness and ability to make friends wherever he went. He will be remembered for his love of cars, his quick wit, and his love for his family.

The family extends sincere and heartfelt gratitude to the caregivers at The Lakes in Stillwater, MN, and St. Croix Hospice for their exceptional compassion and care.

A celebration of Bob’s life will be held on November 22, 2025 at Starkson Family Life Celebration Chapel in Hastings, Minnesota. Visitation will begin at 4:00PM with the service starting at 5:00PM. The family asks that in lieu of flowers a donation be made to the Mayo Clinic for further research of dementia (give.mayoclinic.org).
