Rickey D. Downs

Rickey Downs, age 55, of Hastings, died Tuesday, May 26, 2009 at his residence. Rick was born May 2, 1954 in Independence, MO to William and Anna (Fisk) Downs. He married Susan Anderson on May 4, 1985 in California. He had worked in the automotive industry and loved fishing and NASCAR. Rickey was preceded in death by his parents; and is survived by his wife Susan; children Charles (Peggy) Schluessler of Rosemount, Michael (Megan Loesch) Downs of Hastings, and Michelle Downs of New Hope; grandson Mason Downs; brother Jerry (Darlene) Downs of California. The memorial service, officiated by Rev. Doug Duin will be held at 11:00am Friday, May 29, 2009 at the Caturia-Smidt Funeral Home, 201 E. Seventh Street, Hastings with a visitation held one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow in Lakeside Cemetery. Memorials are preferred.
