Richard Scott Cummings

Richard S. Cummings, age 55 of Hastings died January 14, 2013 at United Hospital, St. Paul. Richard was born September 16, 1957 in St. Paul to Howard and Dorothy (Freyhoff) Cummings. He was a graduate of Park High School in Cottage Grove and married Janean Rezab in Hennepin County on September 10, 1980. Richard loved driving semi for 39 years and enjoyed seeing the countryside while working. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers Donald, Bill and Jerry; sister Nancy Buster. Richard is survived by wife Janean; three children Heather (Michael) Chagolla, Miranda Cummings, and Nathan (Kristy) Cummings; nine grandchildren; brother Robert (Mary Lou) Cummings, sisters Maryanne (Russell) Moore and Barbara (Bill) Menes; also many nieces and nephews. The family is planning a Memorial Gathering at Hope Lutheran Church, 16898 Michael Ave., Hastings on Monday, January 21, 2013 from 4-8 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred.
