Richard M. Bohen

Richard M. "Rich" Bohen, age 71 of Hastings, died Saturday, November 26, 2016, at the Minnesota Veterans Home in Hastings. Richard Michael, the son of Daniel Agnes (Woehrle) Bohen, was born on January 31, 1945, in St. Paul, Minnesota. Following his education, Rich enlisted in the U.S. Army. During his enlistment, he was stationed in Germany for two years as well as other locations. Following his honorable discharge, Rich returned home and worked at various places in the cities. After his parents death, Rich moved to the Veterans Home in Hastings and enjoyed the many friendships he gained. While living there, Rich enjoyed working in the wood shop and with ceramics, helping with various jobs around the VA Home, and the many traveling opportunities they took. He was preceded in death by his parents and by his brother, Tom. Rich is survived by his siblings, Dan (Joyce) Bohen of Roseville and Kathy Wyman of Barnum, MN; and by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.Graveside services with full military honors will be held 11:45 a.m. Thursday, December 1, 2016, Assembly Area #3 at Fort Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis .
