Richard Lutz

Richard A. Lutz of Hastings, a retired Northwest Airlines mechanic, died May 30, 2007, at Woodwinds Hospital, Woodbury. He was 71. He was born Jan. 2, 1936 in Stillwater, the son of Harry and Helen (Kolthoff) Lutz. He served in the United States Navy and was employeed by Northwest Airlines for 41 years. He married his wife, Barbara, March 6, 1981 in Hastings. He is survived by wife, Barbara; Sons, Kevin (Roxanne) Lutz, Brian (Lyndy) Lutz; Daughter, Pam (Tom) Beissel; Son, Mark (Melissa) Lutz; Step-Sons, Don (Renee) Wirtanen, David (Cathy) Wirtanen; Step-Daughter, Barb (Shawn) Bertsch; Grandchildren, Jennifer, Michael, Sarah, Kallyn, Logan, Alex, Brooke, Taylor, Trevor, Cosmia, Nicole, RaeLee, Raven, Rheanne; Brothers, Donald (Marvel) Lutz, Glendon (Barbara) Lutz; Best Friend, Tom Schmitz. A memorial mass was held June 4, 2007, at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, Hastings with Father James Perkkl officiating. The Wise Fmaily Funeral home, Hastings, was in charge of the arrangements.
