Richard L. Mauch

Richard L. �Dick� Mauch, age 82 of Hastings died February 14, 2011 at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Minneapolis. Dick was born August 19, 1928 in Wabasha, MN to Howard and Mary (Longhway) Mauch. A graduate of Wabasha High School, he also spent 4 years in the Air Force during the Korean War. Dick was a self-employed contractor in the Hastings area and enjoyed hydroplane racing. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife Goldie (Nelson) Mauch; daughter Jill Mauch; and step-father Thomas Bradison.Dick is survived by his special friend Janice O'Brien; children Joni Liljedahl, Kevin Mauch, and Nancy (Gunter) Drews; grandchildren Marco, David, Tara, Carisa, Kaitlin, and Kyle; great-grandchildren Justin, Tommy, and Logan. The Memorial Service, officiated by Rev. Percy Damrow will be held 11am Saturday, 2/26/11 at the Caturia-Smidt Funeral Home, 201 E. Seventh St., Hastings, with visitation heldone hour prior to the service. Military Honors will be provided by the Hastings VFW Lyle Russell Post #1210.
