Richard F Johnson

February 21, 1928 — January 6, 2010

Richard F. Johnson, formerly of Wausau, WI, born February 21, 1928, to Frederick & Virginia Johnson, passed away January 6, 2010. Preceded in death by wife of 52 years, Constance and sister, Shirley Smith. Survived by children: Gwynne (Bill) Kienitz, Val Harshe (Kelly Lundstrom), Knox (Tamara) Johnson; grandchildren: Heather (Ryan) Heck, Courtney (Dan) Kucera, Toebios (Tracy) Johnson, Ceora (Jestin) Schmitt, Nathan (Faith) Harshe, and Kyle (Shakeitha) Harshe. He was also the very proud great-grandfather of 10 great-grandchildren. His children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren were the love of his life. Richard was extremely proud to have been a Mason for 50 years and a member of the Scottish Rite and the Zuhrah Shrine Temple. His sense of humor will be missed by all who knew him. Now he can catch that elusive “big one” that he always dreamed of. Dad, we love you and will miss you. Grandpa… we have only known you for such a short time. We all look forward to the day that we can see you and laugh with you once again! Great-Grandpa Johnson…. We love you to the moon and back!!! Special thanks to the staff of Carefree Living in Burnsville and Fairview Hospice. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Fairview Hospice. Funeral service is 10:00 AM, Friday, January 8, 2010 at Lakewood Chapel, 3600 Hennepin Ave., Minneapolis, with visitation one-half hour before.
