Richard E. Johnson

Richard Eugene �Rich� Johnson, age 61 of Bakersfield, CA, formerly of Hastings died on Wednesday, July 10, 2013. Rich was born June 22, 1952 in Hastings to Glenn and Evelyn (Rohr) Johnson. He was a graduate of Hastings High School, class of 1971 and served in the Navy and National Guard. Hehad worked in the construction field for many years and was recently a small business owner in Bakersfield. Richard is survived by his four children Pam (Josh) Johnson, Amy (Mike) Bauer, and Jeremy (Tara) Johnson, all of Hastings and Misty (Chris) Wylie of Inver Grove Heights; eight grandchildren Mitchell, Mason, Hudson, Ruby, Audrey, Cody, Logan and Lily; ten siblings DuWayne (Penny) Johnson of Stockton, CA, James Johnson of St. Paul Park, Dave (Suzi) Johnson of Phoenix, AZ, Steven (Carol) Johnson of St. Paul Park, Barb (Gary) Odman of Hastings, Bruce (Diane) Johnson Lakeville, Jeff Johnson of South St. Paul, Karen (Lenny) Wodcarzyk of Cottage Grove, Kevin (Molly) Johnson of Pagosa Springs, CO, and Terry Johnson of Tampa, FL. Survivors also include many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and former wife, Debra Blatz. The visitation will be held from 9-11 AM Monday, July 29, 2013 at the Caturia-Smidt Funeral Home, 201 East Seventh Street in Hastings. The Graveside Service, officiated by Rev. Kelli Weiss will be held 11:30 AM Monday, July 29 atLakeside Cemeteryin Hastings. Memorials are preferred in lieu of flowers.
