Ahrens, Richard E.
Age 72 of Minneapolis, born July 8, 1933 in Delano, MN to Edmund and Evelyn Ahrens, passed away November 30, 2005. Richard was a member of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles #34, American Legion, Post #1 and served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War in the 82nd Airborne. He was preceded in death by his sister, Shirley Wolf. Richard is survived by his wife, Mary Ann “Mac” Keehn; children: Gary (Shelly), Stephen (Pam), Kathy (Allan) Leinonen, and Colleen (Dan) Boylan; step-children: Theresa Hernandez, Michael, John, Shelly, Charles, Nancy, Mark, and Robert (Nicole) Keehn; 25 grandchildren, 1 great-grandson; sisters, Arlene (Jim) Prentice and Karen Anderson; brother, Terry (Cerise) Ahrens and several nieces, nephews, family and friends. Visitation is 2 – 5 PM, Sunday, December 4, at Henry W. Anderson Mortuary, and one hour before the service Monday. Funeral Service, 10:00 AM, Monday, December 5, 2005, Henry W. Anderson Mortuary, 3640 23rd Ave. So., Mpls. Interment, Ft. Snelling. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred.
