Richard "Dick" R. Sackett

Richard “Dick” R. Sackett, age 85, of Hastings died peacefully on June 4, 2017. He was born May 12, 1932 in Stewartville, MN to Cyril and Betty Sackett. He married Belva Sanborn on August 16, 1953. He was preceded in death by his parents and 2 brothers; Curtis and Jan. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Belva Sackett; 3 children Sherry (Jim) Bjostad, Mark (Nancy) Sackett, and Sue (Joe) Becker; 6 grandchildren Matt (Kate) Bjostad, Annie (Dustin) Zastera, Ben (Jen) Sackett, Leslie Sackett, Amy Becker, and John Becker; 5 great grandsons; brother Dave (Annette); sister-in-laws Mary Sackett and Margret Sackett; many nieces, nephews, and friends. A Funeral Service, officiated by Pastor Wayne Allen, will be held Thursday (6/8) at 11:00 a.m. at Our Saviour’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, 400 9th St. W., Hastings. Visitation will be Wednesday (6/7) from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Wise Family Funeral Home, 400 Spring St., Hastings, as well as one hour prior to the service at church. Interment, Pleasant Grove Cemetery near Stewartville, MN at a later date. Memorials preferred in lieu of flowers.
