Colwell,Richard “Dick” Colwell, age 87, of Hastings, passed away at United Hospital on Feb. 15, 2013. He was born in Franklin, MN on Feb. 14, 1926 to Ed and Lou Colwell. Dick married Shirley Smith on June 17, 1950 in Springfield, MN.He was preceded in death by parents; brothers, George; John and Bob Colwell; daughter in law, Sally Colwell; and grandson, Samuel Ringhand. Dick is survived by his wife, Shirley; children James (Paula); Robert; and Jane (Tim) Ringhand; grandchildren, Kaitlin (Adam) Tolliver; Rachel and Jack Ringhand; and Hailey and James Colwell. A Funeral Service, officiated by Pastor Doug Duin, will be held on Tues (2/19) at 11:00 a.m. at Our Saviour’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, 400 W. 9th St., Hastings. A Visitation will be held 1 hour prior to the service at church. Interment will be at Lakeside Cemetery. Memorials Preferred.
