Richard "Butch" John Carl

Richard John Carl Sr. 'Butch', a lifelong resident of Hastings, passed away at his home March 16, 2012. He was born May 2, 1933 in Hastings to Elmer and Catherine Carl. Butch was in the US Army and worked at 3M for 33 years. He is preceded in death by his parents; son, Edward; step daughter, Kim Cook; and his sister, Lois. He is survived by his wife, Maryce; son, Richard Jr. (Kristen) Carl; daughter, Cindy Carl; step daughters, Sandy (Steve) Nieman; and Cindy (Scott) La Pointe; granddaughters, Emily Cook; Heather (Christopher) Bell; Molly Cook; and Jaci (Joseph) Larson; grandsons, Tim (Cheryl) Carl; and Brad Becker; brothers, Don; Leroy Sr.; Kenneth (Pat) Carl; great grandchildren, other relatives and many friends.The Funeral Service will be held Wednesday (3/21) at 11:00a.m. at Wise Family Funeral Home, 400 Spring St., Hastings. Vitiation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment will be in St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Cemetery. Memorials preferred in lieu of flowers to Hastings Family Service.
