Richard B. Darsow

Richard B. Darsow, age 86, of Hastings, passed away at home on May 30, 2013. He was born in Mendota Township on July 31, 1926. Dick served in the US Navy from March 1, 1945 – Feb. 28, 1952. He married Janie J. Simmons on Feb. 18, 1950 in Charleston, SC. He was preceded in death by his mother, Ethel M. Darsow; daughter, Paula; and daughter in law, Lynn. He is survived by his wife, Janie; daughters, Patricia; and Theresa (Ross) Klongerbo; son, Bruce; grandchildren, Kristin; Ben; and Stacy; and great grandson, Brady. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Sat. (6/15) at 10:30 a.m. at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 2035 W. 15th St., Hastings. There will be a visitation from 8:00 – 10:30 a.m. prior to mass. Interment will be at Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
