Rev. Lester Fair

Reverend Lester Fair, age 83, of Hastings died Saturday, July 11, 2009 at Augustana Health Care Center in Hastings. Reverend Fair was the founder of Haven Homes Health Care Center of Hastings and former pastor at Calvary Baptist Church in Hastings. He was a long time member of the Hastings Rotary Club. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Myrtle (Holmstrom) Fair, a brother Robert, grandchildren Caleb and Greta, son-in-law John Erickson.He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Marie Fair, by his children Darlene (Harley) Stauffer of Woodbury, Jerry (Kris) Fair of Cottage Grove, Daneeta Erickson of White Bear Lake and Dan (Andrea) Fair of Delano, MN, also by 8 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.A visitation will be held on Thursday, July 16, 2009 from 5-8 pm at the Caturia-Smidt Funeral Home, 201 East Seventh St.; Hastings and 1 hour prior to the Funeral Servicewhich isFriday, July 17, 2009 at 11:00 am at the Hastings United Methodist Church, 615 West Fifteenth St.; Hastings, MN. Pallbearers include: Chad Fair, Cory Fair, Brent Erickson, Scott Wicklund, Derek Friesen, Harley Stauffer, and Erik Fair.Interment will be in Roselawn Cemetery in Roseville, MNMemorials may be made to Augustana Health Care Center of Hastings or to the Hastings United Methodist Church.
