age 83, of Apple Valley, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on February 3, 2014. He is preceded in death by his parents and sister Lorraine Merten. Ray is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Ione; his 5 darling daughters, Debbie (Jim) Wagner, Nancy (Jeff) Keller, Pam (Mike) Miller, Cindy (Randy) Retherford, and Karen (Steve) Andree; 15 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; sister, Marlene Justin; and large extended family and friends. Ray was a CPA for Minnegasco for 35 years and retired to his lake home on Lake Ida in Alexandria and loved to fish and hunt. Mass of Christian Burial for Ray will be held on Thursday at 11 AM at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 13900 Biscayne Ave., Rosemount with his visitation Wednesday from 6-8 PM, Henry W. Anderson Mortuary, 147th & Garrett Ave., Apple Valley and 1 hour prior to the Mass at church. Interment on Friday, Feb. 7 at Sauk Centre, MN in St. Paul’s Cemetery at 12:00 noon.
