Randall B. "Randy" Kimmes

Randall B. "Randy" Kimmes, age 56 of Hastings, died peacefully at United Hospital in St. Paul on Friday afternoon, January 15, 2021, following a short battle with cancer. Randall Bernard, the son of Bernard "Ben" and Virginia "Poo" (Nelson) Kimmes, was born on January 20, 1964, in Hastings. Following his graduation from Hastings High School with the class of 1982, Randy worked will Keller Construction, Spectro Alloys, and most recently Bic Graphics. He loved the solitude of being in the outdoors hunting and fishing. Randy was an avid Vikings fan, and also enjoyed watching the Minnesota Twins. He was preceded in death by his parents. Randy is survived by his children, Kenna (James Powell) Poppler and Jonathan Kimmes; grandsons, Carver and Bennett Powell; siblings, Karen Kimmes and Bruce Kimmes; nieces, Jamie (Lukas) Leaf and Jessica (Jeff) Spanhanks; nephew, Thomas Kimmes; and by other family members and friends. A private family graveside service will be held at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, Randy's family requests memorials be made to Avivo or to the donor's choice in his memory. Arrangements are being completed by Starkson Family Life Celebration Chapel of Hastings.
