‘Queenie Elizabeth Hunter, 84, of Apple Valley, passed away Tuesday, June 17 surrounded by her loving family. She was born November 10, 1929 in Mortlake, London, England to Herbert Thomas and Nellie Elizabeth (nee Hornblow) Woodcock. Queenie loved watching old movies, drinking tea, reading, and her second family in the US. She was indeed the Queen and was adored by everyone she met. She loved to travel, especially cruising in the Caribbean. She will be forever loved, treasured and dearly missed. Queenie is survived by her daughter; Julie Olson, and granddaughter; Jessica Olson, and was preceded in death by her husband; Sydney, grandson; Matthew, brother; Douglas Woodcock, and sisters; Lillian, Joyce, and Maggie. Visitation is scheduled for 4-7 PM Friday, June 20 at the Henry W. Anderson Mortuary, 14850 Garrett Avenue, Apple Valley, (952) 432-2331. Our family would like to express our sincere appreciation to Fairview Hospice and U of M Oncology for their incredible care, support and kindness from the doctors, nurses and staff.’
