Phyllis R. Sarset
Age 92 of Minneapolis, formerly of Edina born June 30, 1922 in Sanborn, IA to Robert & Louise Brandt, passed away August 23, 2014. Phyllis served in the US Navy during WWII and was a member of the DAV Auxillary and Women Veterans of Minnesota. She also was a charter member of the Women in Military Service for America Memorial Foundation in Washington DC. Phyllis retired from Orrin Thompson Homes where she worked as a secretary/receptionist from 1970-1985. She is preceded in death by her husband, Cecil and son, Rob. Phyllis will be dearly missed by her children: Jim Sarset, Pat LaQuier and Katie (Paul) Orr; grandchildren: David (Julie) Cambronne, Scott (Ashley) Clausen, Sara Clausen, Monica (Doug) Holman, and Theresa (Joe) Bernard; great-grandchildren: Nick, Zack, Luke, Laura, Sam, Emily, Max, August and Juliet; and many other family and friends. Memorial service, 10:30am, Thursday, August 28, 2014 at Henry W. Anderson Mortuary, 3640 23rd Ave. So., Mpls. with visitation one hour before. Interment, Ft. Snelling National Cemetery.
