Age 93 of Minneapolis, born March 25, 1919 in Lake City to Leroy and Elizabeth Kahla, passed away Nov. 11, 2012. Phyllis was a longtime resident of the Minnehaha Falls neighborhood. She is preceded in death by her husband, John and sister, Jean Stockwell. Phyllis is survived by brother-in-law, Reed Stockwell; nieces and nephew: Connie (Steve) Johnson, Gary (Audrey) Stockwell, and Terri Zessman & friend, Art Orth; great-nieces and nephews, great-great nieces family and friends. Funeral service, 12 noon, Thursday, Nov, 15, 2012 with visitation one hour before at Henry W. Anderson Mortuary, 3640 23rd Ave. So., Mpls. Phyllis will be laid to rest next to her husband, John at Ft. Snelling National Cemetery.
