Age 84, of Apple Valley. Passed away surrounded by loved ones, in the comfort of her own home June 13, 2020. Preceded in death by her parents, Everett and Ruth DeGeest; siblings, Margaret, Gordon, and Roger; sons, Timothy and Curtis; and daughter, Lisa. Survived by siblings, Norman and Gerald DeGeest, and Donna Laidlaw; daughters, Kimberly “Suzie” (Matt) Eyton, Pamela Harris, Amber Yeager; and son, Thomas; 10 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; and 1 great-great grandson. Born in Staples, MN and raised in Sacred Heart, she married John Yeager in 1954 and they raised their 7 children in Apple Valley. Phyllis dedicated her life to caring for others. After raising her family, Phyllis continued caring for others doing adult foster care in her home for over 17 years. She enjoyed spending time with, and cooking for, her family and friends. She adored her grandchildren and made sure each felt special. Phyllis enjoyed gardening and working in her yard. An independent thinker, she was a do-it-herselfer before it was popular. Phyllis will be remembered for her kind smile, colossal sense of humor, compassion for others, and her spirit of generosity. She touched many lives and will be dearly missed. A private memorial will be held with interment at Lebanon Cemetery, Apple Valley
