Phyllis B. Mcconnell

McConnell, Phyllis B. (Theissen), age 92. Beloved mother, grandma, great-grandma and friend too many, left us for her heavenly home on November 12, 2013. Phyllis was born on July 24, 1921 in Mankato, MN to Matthew and Veronica Theissen. She was raised in a loving home along with her two sisters, Evelyn and Arlene in Rochester, MN. After graduating from Rochester High School, Phyllis met and married Richard (Dick) McConnell in 1941. They raised two daughters during those years in Rochester and St. Paul, MN. Phyllis loved music and dancing and being with family and friends. She was our wonderful mother always and will be deeply missed by her daughters and all who loved her. She is preceded in death by husband of 48 years, Richard; her parents; and her two sisters. Phyllis is survived by her daughters, Dianne (Rod) Addison of Afton, MN; Karen (Bob) Schwieger of Cottage Grove, MN; six grandchildren, Shelly, Michael, Chris, Anne-Marie, Jacob and Jessica; eight great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, 11/16/13 at 12:00 noon at The Wise Family Funeral Home, 400 Spring Street in Hastings. Visitation one hour prior to the service. There will be a luncheon following the service at Green Mill to share our wonderful memories of mom. Private burial at Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
