Philip O. Jesme

Philip Jesme, age 73, of Hastingspassed away peacefully surrounded by family onSunday - March 3, 2013 at VA Medical Center in Minneapolis, MN. Philip was born February 19, 1940 in Cannon Falls, MN to Philip Corinne (Benson) Jesme. Philip attended High School in Florence, SD. He was in the Navy for four years. He was preceded in death by his parents and wife Ruth. Survivors include his sons Mike (Angelita) Jesme of Apple Valley, Paul Jesme of Hastings, Dave (Ofelia) Jesme of Hawaii, Brian (Julia) Jesme of Hastings; grandson Ian; sisters Louise Skogstad of Hastingsand Barbara Braley of Arizona; brother Steven Jesme of Cannon Falls; also many nieces, nephews and friends. The Funeral Service, officiated by Pastor Dan Schauer will be held 11 AM Tuesday, March 5th at the Caturia-Smidt Funeral Home 201 East 7th Street, Hastings with visitation held two hours prior to the service. Interment will follow in the Lakeside Cemetery, Hastings.The pallbearers are Mike, Paul, Dave and Brian Jesme, Julie Skogstad and Steven Jesme. Honorary pallbearers are Ian Jesme and James Skogstad. The family would like to give a special thank you to the VA Medical Center and its staff for the very comforting care that Philip received.
