Peter Simon Schoenike

Schoenike, Peter S. age 95, of S. Mpls. Preceded in death by parents, Arnold and Ella; and son, Gregory. Survived by wife of 68 years, Shirley; children, Karen (Gene) Stephens of Rogers, Kenneth (Rita) Schoenike of Eagan, Everett (Wendy) Schoenike of St. Louis Park, Janice Glatte of Bloomington and Judy (Kevin) Hermanson of Edina; 14 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and many friends. Peter served in WWII in the U.S. Army Air Force until 1945. Upon leaving the service he returned to the plumbing trade and worked at it until he retired. Peter was active at his church. He loved fishing, camping, crafts and spending time with his family and friends. Service Saturday 11:00 AM, Faith Lutheran Church, 3430 E. 51st St., with visitation one hour before. Interment Hillside Cemetery. Memorials preferred in lieu of flowers.
