Peter E. "Pete" Mollick

Peter E. "Pete" Mollick, age 70 of Hastings, died at home on Thursday morning, May 7, 2020, following a short battle with cancer. Peter Edward, the son of Joseph and Helen (McGree) Mollick, was born on March 19, 1950, in St. Paul. Following his graduation from Hastings High School with the class of 1968, Pete continued his education at St. Cloud State University. Pete was a longtime Product Engineer at 3M until his retirement. He then worked on a part-time basis at Hastings Veteran's Home where he enjoyed the opportunity to meet and visit with many Veterans. On April 19, 1991, Pete was united in marriage to Susan Thompson in Hastings. They enjoyed traveling together and made many memories over the years. Pete also enjoyed golfing, reading, and was an avid coin collector. He was also a longtime Gopher season ticket holder and a Twins fan. More recently, Pete enjoyed being involved with Lakeside Cemetery in Hastings as well. He was preceded in death by his parents; and by his mother and father-in-law, Irving and Ruby Thompson. Pete is survived by his wife, Sue; sister, Mary (Bill) Sieben; and by many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. A private family service will be held for Pete. In lieu of flowers, Pete's family requests memorials be made to Lakeside Cemetery in his honor. Arrangements are being completed by Starkson Family Life Celebration Chapel of Hastings.
