Paul "Skip" E. Holmstrom

Paul E. "Skip" Holmstrom, age 83 of Hastings died April 25, 2013 at United Hospital in St. Paul, MN. Skip was born November 6, 1929 in Hastings to Gustav and Eda (Carlson) Holmstrom. He was a graduate of Hastings High School and Gustavus Adolphus College. Skip was also an Army veteran, having served during the Korean War. He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings Linnea (Louis) Pajerski, Clarice (Bernard) Valois, and Kenneth Holmstrom. Survivors include his siblings Lucille Pike, Violet Borner, Marjorie (Dedrick) Terveen, Verlin (Jenny) Holmstrom, Betty (Loren) Deering, and James (Margaret) Holmstrom. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other family and friends. The Funeral Service will be held 11 AM Wednesday, May 1, 2013 at the River of Life Church, 800 Vermillion St., Hastings. Visitation will be held 5-7 PM Tuesday April 30, at Caturia-Smidt Funeral Home 201 E. 7th St., Hastings, and also one hour prior to the service at church. Interment will be held at Lakeside Cemetery in Hastings at a later date. The family wishes to thank the doctors, nurses and staff at United Hospital for their loving care. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred.
