Patrick "Ricky" Beer

Patrick "Ricky" Beer, age 29 of Hastings, died suddenly but peacefully at home on Friday evening, January 15, 2021. Patrick Ronald, the son of Mark Beer and Susan Seleski, was born on May 7, 1991, in Hastings. While growing up, Ricky enjoyed trying just about every sport he could. He also enjoyed racing cars with his dad and brother, competing in derby's and riding four wheelers with his buddies. Following his graduation from Hastings High School with the class of 2009, Ricky's strong work ethic gave him a passion to work anything from dispatching, installing siding, roofing, being a mechanic, or even working at UPS. Most of all, he cherished the opportunity to work with his dad and brother at Wayne's Auto Body. Lately, Ricky also enjoyed spending time with his uncle Bernie shooting guns together. Ricky was a gentle giant with a big heart and was always the first to help anyone in need. His witty sense of humor and the gift of being able to make friends wherever he went will never be forgotten by family and friends. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Robert Seleski. Ricky is survived by his parents, Susan Seleski and Mark (Tiffany) Beer; siblings, Cassi (Kyle) Stibbe and Dave (Megan) Beer; nephew, Corbin Stibbe as well as another due soon; maternal grandma, Elizabeth Seleski; paternal grandparents, Ron and Linda Beer; and by many aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends. A Celebration of Ricky's Life will be held from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday evening, January 20, 2021, at Starkson Family Life Celebration Chapel of Hastings, with a time of sharing starting at 7:30 p.m. Private family interment will be held at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish Cemetery in Hastings. In lieu of flowers, Ricky's family requests memorials be made to the Animal Ark in Hastings (https://animalarkmn.org/donate/) in his memory. Arrangements are being completed by Starkson Family Life Celebration Chapel of Hastings.
