Patrick M. "Pappy" Miller

Patrick M. "Pappy" Miller, age 65 of Hastings, died peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on Sunday, May 24, 2020. Patrick Michael, the son of Donald and Anna Mae (Duffy) Miller, was born along with his twin brother, Michael Patrick, on June 22, 1954, in Oakdale. Pappy attended Tartan High School and graduated with the class of 1972. In 1988, he was united in marriage to sweetheart Mary Chavie at the Renaissance Festival. Pappy was a longtime employee of Ford Motors and retired after 30 years of employment. He loved going to Lindstrom where he enjoyed the lake and time spent with family. Pappy was a jack of all trades, and could do anything from working on cars to carpentry. He also had a love for classic cars, horses, and took great pride in tending to his property. Even though life was always lived on Pappy's own terms, he was a genuine man that would always be there for whatever you needed. He was preceded in death by his parents; and by his brother, Joe Miller. Pappy is survived by his wife, Mary; son, Vincent; grandson, Logan; siblings, Marge (Rick) Hayek, Mary Miller, Michael (Ann) Miller, Donald Miller, Theresa (Frank) Kleven, Katie (Mark) Uner, Dennis Miller, and Ken "Skip" (Jackie) Miller; sister-in-law, Donna Miller; and by many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. A Celebration of Pappy's Life will be held from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. Friday, June 5, 2020, at Starkson Family Life Celebration Chapel of Hastings. All are welcome to attend and are invited to bring some of your favorite memories of Pappy. Arrangements are being completed by Starkson Family Life Celebration Chapel of Hastings.
