Patricia M. Fahey

Patricia M. (Sperl) Fahey, age 80, of Rosemount, diedApril 30, 2011at Regina Assisted Living in Hastings. Patricia was born August 12, 1930 in West St. Paul to William and Mary (Ryan) Sperl. She attended South St. Paul schools and was a graduate of the University of Minnesota. She started her career as a speech therapist in the Roseville School District, later working in accounting and payroll at several local businesses. Patricia married Thomas J. �Bubs� Fahey on May 9, 1953 at St. Joseph�s Catholic Church in West St. Paul. She had a strong faith and enjoyed sharing time with her family. Patricia also enjoyed gardening, cooking and watching Minnesota sports teams.She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter Jane Leibel, and granddaughter Kristin Rae Burnham. Patricia is survived by her children Jack (Brenda) Fahey of Hastings, Mary (Steve) Wold of Woodbury, Thomas W. (Kathy Denny) Fahey of Rosemount, Cathy (Martin) Burnham of Bozeman, MT; grandchildren Kelly, Chad, Ryan Fahey, Allison (Matt) Merriman, David Wold, Shane Spaeth and Justin Burnham; siblings Edward Sperl, Leo (Kay) Sperl, Kathleen (David) Maez, Jean (Carl) Schneider, Margaret (Bernie) Gillotte; also many nieces nephews. The visitation will be held on Tuesday from 4-8pm Wednesday from 9-10am at CATURIA-SMIDT FUNERAL HOME, 201 E 7th St., Hastings. The Funeral Mass, officiated by Fr. Richard Mahoney will be held 10:30am Wednesday, May 4, 2011 at ST. AGATHA�S CATHOLIC CHURCH, Coates, MN (Rosemount). Interment will follow in the parish cemetery. The pallbearers are Kelly Fahey, Chad Fahey, Ryan Fahey, Allison Merriman, David Wold, and Shane Spaeth. Honorary pallbearers are Terri Clark, Patty Engel, Harriet Wiederholt, Jan Wagner, Diane Weiss, Dolores Frandrup, and Mary Weatherly. Memorials are preferred for Macular Degeneration Research.
