Patricia J. Milliren

Patricia J. Milliren, age 85, of Hastings died October 4, 2012 at Regina Assisted Living in Hastings. Patricia was born June 7, 1927 in Haynes, North Dakota to Christopher and Mary (McArney) Rothstein. She graduated from high school there in 1944 and on November 27, 1948, she married Robert Milliren. She was formerly employed as a bookkeeper for the Hastings Elevator. She also worked at the Dakota County Assessors Office and at Vermillion State Bank in Hastings. She was an active volunteer and was a very social person. Patricia loved to play cards and crochet. She was a longtime St. Elizabeth Ann Seton choir member. Patricia was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, brothers James, Peter, Eugene and Joseph, and a daughter-in-law Marian Milliren. She is survived by her children Jeff (Dorothy) Milliren, Mark (Karen) Milliren, Dr. Michael (Janean) Milliren and Michelle (Robert) McCarthy all of Hastings; 9 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren and a brother Ralph Rothstein of Illinois. A visitation will be held on Sunday, October 7, 2012 from 5:00-8:00 pm at the Caturia-Smidt Funeral Home, 201 Seventh Street E., Hastings and Monday 1 hour prior to the funeral at the church. The Funeral Mass will be Monday, October 8, 2012 at 10:30 am at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 2035 Fifteenth Street West, Hastings, MN followed by interment in the parish cemetery.
