Patricia Helen Sperr

Patricia H. Sperr, age 90, of Hastings, passed away at Regina Senior Living on October 31, 2020. Patsy grew up outside of Urbank , Mn, where she was raised by her grandparents. She attended a one room school house which she would cross country ski to in the winter months. She worked hard on their family farm gardening, harvesting, and milking cows. She met her husband John while working at a neighbor's farm. After they were married , they moved to Hastings, Minnesota. She was a gifted gardener of vegetables and flowers. Her summers were spent planting, growing, harvesting, and canning. Her home was filled with smells of baking bread, numerous sweet treats, and delicious "meat and potato" suppers. She worked for 20 years at the Majestic Ballroom as a waitress. She loved people, music, and dancing. Her spirit was fun loving. She had a great sense of humor, and was always up for an adventure. She will be remembered as a devoted, hardworking, and faith filled woman who was dearly loved and will be dearly missed. Patricia is preceded in death by husband, John W. Sperr; and daughter, Joy Ann. Survived by children, John M. Sperr, Annette (Jeff) Erickson, Calvin Sperr (Sandy Wortman), Michael (Pamela) Sperr; grandchildren, Andrew (Sarah), Lydia, and Matthew Erickson; Boden and Delaney Sperr; Emma, Joseph, and Grace Sperr; and many other relatives and friends. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, November 14 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 2035 W. 15th St., Hastings, Interment following mass at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Cemetery.
