Patricia Ann Doffing

Patricia “Patty” A. Doffing, age 62, of Hastings, passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 28, 2025, at United Hospital in St. Paul.

Patty was born on January 10, 1963, in Hastings, Minnesota, to Marvin and Judith (Fox) Doffing. She was one of four children raised in a loving home. She enjoyed family vacations to Duluth and spending time in her dad’s gardens. In her younger years, she liked going for walks, and later in life, she loved keeping her mind sharp with word searches.

Patty worked for many years as a clerical worker for various companies, where she made many lifelong friends. She was outgoing, friendly, and full of fun—never afraid to strike up a conversation or put herself out there. She had a gift for making others feel welcome and valued.

Her greatest joy in life was being a mother to her son, Matthew, who was the light of her life.

She is survived by her siblings, Michelle (Chris) Dittrich, Kelly Ritt, and Cory Doffing; as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and dear friends.

She is preceded in death by her beloved son, Matthew Doffing, and her parents, Marvin and Judith.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, July 7, 2025, at Starkson Family Life Celebration Chapel, 3075 Vermillion Street, Hastings, MN, with a visitation one hour prior, from 10:00–11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Cemetery in Hastings. A reception will be held following the graveside service back at the funeral home.
