Pamela M. King

Pamela Marie (formerly Erstad/Hild) King, age 57, of Strasburg, VA, and formerly of Hastings, died Friday, January 30, 2009 at her home in Strasburg, VA.Pamela was born May 4, 1951 in Hastings to Myron and Helene (Hubley) Dehning.She had worked for Advantage Sales and Marketing, was a member of the Front Royal Elks Lodge # 2382, Ladies of the Elks and Shenandoah American Legion # 77 Ladies Auxiliary, in Strasburg.Pamela was preceded in death by her 3 sons, Sean, Eric, and Jeffrey Erstad; her second husband, George Hild Jr., and her mother Helene Dehning. Surviving with her father Myron (Shirley) Dehning of Prescott, WIare her husband, Barry Dean King; 3 step-sons, Eric Matthew King of Amissville, VA, Gabriel Dean King of Winchester, VA, and Matthew Hild of Hastings, 2 step-daughters, Ginger Denise Gilbrath and Jodi Lane Jenkins, both of Winchester, VA; 2 sisters Barbara Denn of Grantsburg, WI and Bonnie Swanson of Hastings; 4 brothers, Bill Hamman and Larry Hamman both of Hastings, Scott Dehning of East Lansing, MI and Steve Dehning of Bloomington; also 9 grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews. A funeral service and an Elks memorial service will be held in Strasburg, VA on February 2, 2009.The funeral mass will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, February 4, 2009 at the St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 2035 15th Street West inHastings, with a visitation held at the church 2 hours prior to the service. Interment will follow in the parish cemetery. The pallbearers are Gabriel King, Timothy King, Billy Hamman, Larry Hamman, Scott Dehning, and Paul Svien.
