Olga L Magnon

Olga L. (Richter) Magnon, age 90, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on September 9, 2010 at Regina Hospice in Hastings. Olga will be remembered as a wonderful homemaker who lovingly provided a warm and orderly home. She was devoted to her Christian faith and had a remarkable talent for knitting and crocheting. Olga was born April 5, 1920 in Krem, ND to David and Rebekka Richter. She married Leo Magnon on March 25, 1943. After raising three sons in Bloomington, she and Leo moved to Park Rapids to own and operate the Blu Hollow Resort. After Leo's death in 1996, Olga moved to the Hastings area to be closer to family.She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 53 years, Leo V. Magnon; and her sisters, Wilma Ramirez and Hertha Richter. Olga is survived by her children, Larry (Nancy) Magnon of Caryville, TN; Michael (Judy) Magnon of Hastings; Thomas Magnon of Isanti; grandchildren, Phillip (Tanya) Magnon; Alex Magnon; Jay Magnon; Lindsey (Paul) Christiansen; Kevin Martin; Lisa (Tim) Carr; great grandchildren; Lauren; Jacob; Noah; Wyatt; Ethan; Connor; Hayden; Annika; and Pascal; special niece, Mary Lou Schniederhan. A Funeral Service will be held Wed. (9/15), 11:00 a.m., at Our Saviour's Evangelical Lutheran Church, 400 W. 9th St., Hastings. A Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at church.
